K7 - K7 411LP

Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber first formed Tosca in Vienna in 1994, making the project a core part of the G-Stone label through those heady years of blunted downtempo grooves. They've maintained a steady pace ever since, although it's been a few years since their last album Going Going Going. As ever there's space in the duo's musical practice for all kinds of different approaches across the field of dubby, jazz-inflected beats, but the title track in particular shows they're exploring new territory here. Refined, warm and moody without getting downcast, this is how downtempo should be done.
